Easy installation of fitted panels thanks to the K20 clamping element
The installation of fitted panels is often one of the last steps in a project. The K20 clamping element provides a reliable solution so that no gluing aids such as adhesive tape are required for temporary fixation. Thanks to the side gripping ribs, the workpiece is held securely in position until the adhesive has set. No additional gluing aids are required.
How it works
  • Mark the machining positions on both the mounting strip and fitting strip. The maximum distance between the grooves should be 300 mm.

  • Set the swivel front stop of the Classic X to 90° and the depth adjuster to "20". First, perform the edge milling on the mounting strip.

  • Machine two rows of grooves at a centre to centre distance of 20 mm with two stop squares in the surface of the fitted panel. This offset should be sufficient to compensate for unevenness in the wall.

  • Fix the mounting strip (protruding 2 mm) to the carcass with clamps on the end face and fasten with screws.

  • Fit the mounting strip with wooden biscuits and insert the fitted panel into the second row of grooves.

  • Use a parallel scriber to transfer the contour of the wall to the fitted panel. The offset of the parallel scriber must correspond to with the centre to centre distance of the two rows of grooves.

  • Use a jigsaw and/or a hand plane to trim the fitting strip along the marked contour. Sand down the edges.

  • Apply a suitable adhesive to the contact surfaces and insert the K20 clamping element.

  • Install the fitted panel. Reworking is no longer necessary!
