Gluing of LC P-16 to optimise strength in the workpiece
For large components, weight plays a decisive role. Lightweight construction offers a smart solution for combining stability and performance. For heavily stressed components, the LC P-16 can optionally be processed with glue - thanks to the integrated glue channels.
How it works
  • Use the LC P-16 configurator to determine the height setting and the appropriate LC P-16 connector. Use depth setting P-18 and 2 mm depth adjuster cap to machine groove (machining depth = 16 mm).

  • Create a 6 mm access hole using the drill jig.

  • For optimal lateral alignment, use the positioning clip and continue machining.

  • Machine the surface with depth setting P-10 and without depth adjuster cap. A second angle stop may be used for improved stability.

  • Insert the connector halves without a lever, e.g. Clamex P-10, into the surface. The Clamex P-14 is also suitable for surface layers over 4 mm.

  • Insert LC P-16 from the front. For LC P-16 × 11, apply the glue directly to the side grooves and then slide in.

  • For LC P-16 × 17 and LC P-16 × 22, apply glue through the glue channels.

  • Insert Clamex P-14 connector halves with the lever (alternatively Clamex CNC or Clamex Flexus).

  • Assemble components and connect them with the assembly tool. Insert cover cap if required.
