Bespoke joinery solutions for your home

"Wood is not just a material, but a passion," says Michael Kirste, owner of carpentry Kiefer. The traditional carpentry business was founded in 1949 by Robert Kiefer and later continued by his son. On 1st October 2000, the current owner, Michael Kirste, bought the joinery business. He has worked at Kiefer for over 30 years, starting as a partner, later as a master carpenter and now as owner.

Carpentry Kiefer has two divisions: interior furnishment and construction joinery. Whether it's bathroom cabinets, cupboards, stairs, sideboards, walk-in wardrobes, bedroom furniture or windows and doors, the carpentry always has a tailored solution. "No two pieces of furniture are the same here," says Michael.

Lamello not only connects furniture, but also generations

Michael recalls: "I have been using wooden biscuits from Lamello in my daily projects ever since my carpentry training. So when we were looking for a flexible plastic cabinet connector, we discovered Lamello's P-System." This was the turning point for carpentry Kiefer. "Thanks to the detachable Clamex P connector, we had a solution for countless applications. From then on, we were able to connect our furniture together with ease," says Michael.

Combined of power tools and the CNC machine

"We produce most of our orders with Lamello products using our CNC machine," explains Michael. "This process saves us a lot of time and increases our throughput. We have been using the Holz-Her Evolution 7405 CNC machine for half a decade now. It is the first CNC machine to have integrated Lamello's entire range of connectors.

When carpentry Kiefer receives orders involving inclines, such as a sloping roofs, it uses the Zeta P2 biscuit joiner. It can implement all types of angle joints efficiently and easily. "This gives us a good mix and the best solution for every individual order," Michael beams.

One tool and one system

Lamello P-System connectors can be used for all possible slopes and angles. "Regardless of whether a mitre, an obtuse angle or a sloping roof needs to be milled, Lamello's P-System has a solution for every application and is also very strong," says Michael. Another advantage of the P-System connectors is their high stability and detachability.

Elegance meets technology

The walnut sideboard made by Michael combines modern design with innovative joining technology. "I chose the high-quality furniture connectors from the P-System for the design. With the Clamex P-14, Clamex P-14/10 Flexus and Tenso P-14, I was able to easily connect the individual parts together. The Cabineo 8 M6 was used for the assembly of the drawers," Michael explains. The entire sideboard is made of chipboard and finished with the Fenix surface coating. This combination of anthracite and emerald green gives the furniture a modern and elegant look. Wrapped in veneered walnut, the sideboard has a warm and natural feel.

Sustainability as an art of craftsmanship

Through the conscious selection of regional wood, the integration of the circular economy and the use of energy-efficient technologies, carpentry Kiefer actively contributes to environmental protection. "Every piece of furniture we produce tells the story of a respectful relationship with nature and stands for durability and trust," says Michael. This future trend will always be a part of the company's upcoming projects.
