Detachable joining of thin materials with Clamex S-20

Thin material thicknesses are becoming increasingly important in furniture design. Lamello now offers cabinet makers even more flexibility in production and assembly. Now, with the Clamex S-20, detachable joints are also possible in materials from 8mm thickness. Thanks to a groove width of 4mm, the installation of the Clamex S-20 can be carried out with any commercially available biscuit joiner.

How it works

Position stop square and set to half material thickness.
Adjust to setting 20 and cut the goove in the edge of the 8mm shelf.
Drill a 6mm access opening in the shelf using the drill and alignment jig.
Align the machine with the cut the goove in the edge of the surface.
Fit connector onto drilling and alignment jig and slide into groove.
Use light hammer taps to align the connector so that it is parallel to the surface.
Then secure the connector halves with the screws provided. In the case of brittle materials, pre-drill the screws with 2mm
Assemble components and connect them with the Allen key.
