The E20 is a self-clamping connector that is used with every Lamello biscuit joiner. For a surface connection using the E20-L, the two workpieces are joined in the desired position, but with the rear side facing up. When the workpieces are clamped, the Lamello groove is made along both workpieces so that both parts each have half of the groove. The edges are then coated with adhesive and the workpieces are assembled. The E20-L is then tapped into the 4 mm groove of the two workpieces with a few hammer blows and the lateral ribs anchor in the groove sides. Due to the inclined course of these holding ribs, the workpieces are clamped together at the same time during insertion. The E20-H variant is designed for milling in edges, such as for joining a kitchen base or carcass. The installation of the E20-H connector is the same as for the E20-L, except that the milling takes place in the workpiece edges or the mitres. Since both E-20 variants can be used with any groove cutter, it is advisable to keep a package of each in the assembly vehicle. This means that the connecting fitting serves as the perfect gluing aid on the construction site when clamps or other aids are not available. There is no need to wait for the glue to dry. An assembled workpiece can be further processed straight away.
