Features
Wear-free connection
No wear when screwing the metric screw into a cut thread or into an insert
Anchoring on both sides
Maximum stability of a center panel joint, as the Cabineo attaches to the same insert from both sides
High load
Much higher tensile and shear strength due to good anchoring in the material
High clamping force
Very high clamping force compared to other cam connectors due to the M6 screw, which is screwed in with a cordless drill
Thin materials
The short 8mm screw enables use in centre panel joints from 16mm material thickness or in corner connections from 10mm

Product description

The Cabineo M6 insert is a threaded insert for furniture joints and is used in combination with the Cabineo 8 M6 or Cabineo X. It is ideal for applications where the thread cannot be cut directly into the workpiece or to increase strength in corner and dividing wall connections. An 8 mm hole is drilled for installation and the threaded sleeve is then positioned and driven into the material with the installation tool. The installation tool is designed so that the Cabineo M6 insert is automatically positioned 1 mm below the panel surface when it is installed. When installing in a dividing panel, the threaded insert must be installed in the middle of the panel so that the Cabineo M6 screws are long enough to engage the insert from both sides. In order to drive the Cabineo M6 insert deeper into the material, the plastic sleeve on the installation tool is turned by 180°, which causes the insert to lie 5 mm below the panel surface. Tapping in instead of screwing in has two advantages – it is faster and the threaded inserts are always installed vertically. This prevents single external threads from being screwed into the drill hole at an angle. In addition to use with the Cabineo system, the Cabineo 8 M6 insert can also be used with standard screws with thread size M6.

Applications:

  • General furniture construction or carcass manufacturing for panels
  • Detachable joints within different materials
  • Built-in cupboards or wardrobes
  • Kitchen cupboards detachable for transport
  • Kitchen cabinets and open shelf units
  • Furniture and displays in shopfitting
