The Rasto is a universal drilling jig for wood joining and is used to produce precise drill holes for the Invis Mx2. The positioning of the drilling jig can be reproduced on almost any workpiece shape without measuring or marking, using three positioning pins. The Ø 12 mm drill bushing is screwed into the perforated plate through which the hole can be drilled. After the first workpiece has been drilled, the drilling jig is turned over and the positioning pins are placed in the same position on the second workpiece. In this way, the identical, but mirror-inverted position is adopted and the holes always match one another exactly. Special stop positions are provided for the common 16 mm and 19 mm panels so that the hole is exactly in the middle of the material thickness. The universal drilling jig is particularly helpful when drilling profiled handrails of different shapes and sizes. Constantly changing shapes make jig construction complex. The Rasto addresses this issue and offers a quick solution without measuring and marking. In addition to the holes for the Invis Mx2, the drilling jig is also excellently suited for drilling dowel connections or for the 5 mm holes in furniture handles and concealed hinges. This is because the distance between the two drill blocks is exactly 32 mm. In addition, two positioning holes in the perforated plate are marked at 37 mm so that they can be used as a stop for continuing a 32 mm row of holes if the row of holes needs to be subsequently extended by a few holes.
