The Cabineo 8 is a one-piece cabinet connector that uses a drilling or milling process with pure surface machining. No need for edge drill holes for a dowel. Thanks to this feature, machining is possible on all CNC machining centres, including simple 3-axis machines and nesting machines. The one-piece Cabineo is press fitted into the drilling or the milling either in the workshop or on site after transportation. During assembly, the pre-installed, slightly protruding screw is positioned in the opposite drill hole. Using a cordless drill and the Cabineo bit, the screw is screwed into the 5 mm hole of the counterpart and the workpieces are quickly and powerfully connected. Designed to complement the Cabineo 12, the Cabineo 8 consists of the same housing, but is supplied with a shorter screw. If two shelves at the same height meet a dividing panel, the dividing panel with the Cabineo 12 must be at least 24 mm. If the Cabineo 8 is used, a material thickness of 16 mm is sufficient. Compared to a cam connector, the Cabineo impresses with its more efficient processing and faster assembly. It is also distinguished by its high clamping force and all without the additional use of wooden dowels. The Cabineo offers considerable advantages in the manufacturing, transport and assembly process. This means that the connector can even be securely mounted in the workpieces during the production process. The workpieces can be stacked as flat packs for transportation, without protruding parts that could damage the workpieces. This also eliminates the fabrication and the additional logistical outlay involved in a separate hardware bag. There are no loose parts of fittings that need to be installed during the final assembly. Depending on the colour of the material used, the white or black housing colour may be more suitable. If the Cabineo is to be hidden, cover caps are available in different colours.
The Cabineo offers three installation options:
